Metzler advises Daikin Industries on the acquisition of Duplomatic MS

Metzler Corporate Finance advised Daikin Industries Ltd. on its acquisition of the Italy-based company Duplomatic MS S.p.A.. The management of Duplomatic and private equity firm Alcedo SGR S.p.A. sold 100% of the shares to Daikin. With this transaction, Daikin continues the global expansion of its oil hydraulic business and strengthens its presence in Europe.

Daikin is a leading global manufacturer of heat pumps, ventilation and air-conditioning systems for private, commercial and industrial applications. In addition, Daikin manufactures oil hydraulic pumps and oil hydraulic units with strengths in energy-saving solutions, higher precision, quieter operation and miniaturization.

Duplomatic is a globally operating manufacturer of pumps, valves, actuators and complete systems for the hydraulics market. The company has about 650 employees and production facilities in Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, the United States and other countries.

The acquisition is in line with Daikin's FUSION 25 strategy and will support Daikin's efforts to offer energy-saving hydraulic products to European customers.
