The Metzler/Payden joint venture
In 1998 Metzler Bank and the US asset manager Payden & Rygel established Metzler/Payden, LLC, a joint venture based in Los Angeles. Founded in 1983, Payden & Rygel is currently one of the largest independent investment managers in the United States. It manages around USD 95 billion for retail and institutional investors (as of June 2015).
The Metzler/Payden joint venture rounds out Metzler Asset Management’s product portfolio. It offers global bond products, including emerging markets, high-yielders and inflation linkers. Another area of activity is providing advice on reducing portfolios of toxic assets. In addition, Metzler/Payden gives clients access to the North American and global equity markets.
